Visits focus on understanding you as a whole person — your health history, lifestyle, stressors and goals — and on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness, using the least invasive effective therapies available.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed. You can book an initial naturopathic visit directly online or by phone.

Is naturopathic medicine covered by OHIP?

Naturopathic visits are not covered by OHIP. Many extended health benefit plans include naturopathic coverage — check your plan details. Direct billing is available for many insurers through Telus eClaims. Full details, including visit fees, are on the Fees & Insurance page.

Can I see a Naturopathic Doctor and my family doctor?

Yes. Naturopathic care can work alongside conventional medical care, and communication with your other health care providers is encouraged. Bring a list of your current medications and any recent lab work to your first visit.

Are Naturopathic Doctors regulated in Ontario?

Yes. Naturopathic Doctors are a regulated health profession in Ontario under the Naturopathy Act, 2007, and are registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

How many visits will I need?
